The treatment

What Is Velvet Brows (Microshading)?

Microshading builds up tiny dots of pigment to create a soft, shaded brow. It gives a fuller, more defined look than microblading and holds well on every skin type, including oily skin.

Your brows are mapped and drawn before any shading begins, so the shape suits your face.

Who it suits

  • Oily, combination or sensitive skin
  • Anyone who likes a filled-in, made-up brow
  • Clients whose microblading has faded unevenly
  • Very sparse brows that need more density

FAQ

Velvet Brows Questions

What is the difference between microshading and microblading?

Microblading draws fine hair-like strokes. Microshading builds a soft, powdered finish. Shading lasts longer and suits oily skin.

How long does microshading last?

Usually 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin, lifestyle and aftercare.

Will my brows look too dark?

They look darker for the first week or two, then soften by up to 40 percent as they heal.

Can I have microshading over old microblading?

Often, yes. Kamille will check the old pigment at your consultation first.

Do I need a touch-up?

A Brow Perfecting Session about 6 to 8 weeks later refines and deepens the shading. It is $15,000 on its own, or $42,000 for microshading and the touch-up paid together.
